Earth exists on multiple demensional planes- to destroy one is but a ripple on the surface of a puddle in another existance. January seventh, 1993 a strange man simply appeared in the middle of Kansas City, Missouri carrying a baby girl and wearing a drug addict's grin. Expectant he studied the sky, grin never ceasing.
The news reports streamed in- Nuclear armed missiles locked on to five major American cities were unavoidable. Russian had struck a violent blow. In retaliation America had devled into it's own nuclear vault and hurled it's entire arsenal at it's aggressor- The world was obliterated without a living trace left on that certian plane. The man, however, and the child asleep in his arms as well as a good portion of the human race were not destroyed. Earth exists on multiple demensional planes- to destroy one is but a ripple on the surface of a puddle in another existance. In Earth's death throes fissures in the demensional plane rended open not only in the destructed plane but several other known existances. These fissures unknown every now and again claimed a human body to a 'new' Earth to the past, future or a curious, different present.
The man and his child in tow, unknown to any demension, caused the fissures- Atticus Mailyr, a crash-landed alien species had existed immortal when Earth was still under the rule of minute tyrant lizards. The strangely quiet man, though pleasant and impossibly patient had fallen to distress, rending demensional tears in search of his mistress and the mother of his daughter, Jessica Monica Mailyr, reliving each horror and stage of Earth's development in desperate search of his beloved.
On the day he gave in his daughter had turned fifteen. He instructed her on demensional travel and left- appearing only to guide her she so desperately needed him. He hadn't told her not to, but he had implied extreme caution be used when travelling demensions so that civilians would not learn of the dangerous secret. Being young and dumb Jessica made that exact mistake- she imparted the demensional travel secrets. From that day on life became a hailstorm, dangerous and impressive for the half-breed. She had been requested to demonstrate her travelling capabilities, however declined for personal reasons- as of yet she was considered human. Fame was making it increasingly difficult to manage the charade- discovery of her own species would be dangerous not only to her but her father as well. With this Jessica picked up- opening and diving into a totally new fissure to regroup.
Fourty years later she's back, not a year older than twenty physically and accompanied by an equally young man- Atticus Mailyr now seeking to sew the holes in space and time back up as they threaten to rend and tear all existing planes completely apart. But while this massive goal is eons from being realized new rends are opening, those to other worlds. Now other species are beginning to encounter humanity. The newest rend, that that encompasses the White House in Washington D.C. is posing an entirely unknown danger to not only Earth but the Universe as a whole. At the end of the Universe and Time, when the Universe will no longer expand and repeat and Time has run completely down there is imprisoned a great evil- this wicked now seeks to draw the existing Universe into itself to create it's own demension and freedom, havoc now untold as traditional evil lights onto the scene where once was only science. The new unknown, perhaps a benign spirit, has yet to emerge.
Jessica and Atticus now desperately seek to recruit more of their species, respectively named the Tailors, to mend to frayed threads of space and time however it seems more Tailors are havoc-inclined, named the Renders and the number of Tailors inclined to help Atticus and his daughter clean up their mess, Menders, are growing scarcer still by the day.

Techie is open for roleplay. Though still new and a little shaky we've already started a few roleplays and now we are working out the bugs in the site. There are still admin positions to be filled however we welcome our new staff: Crowbar, Vive (Not Mechanical), Robin (The Mad Hare), and Comatose. If you have any problems with the site feel free to PM any member of the staff with your questions. Hopefully the site will start to work the kinks out and run a little smoother very soon. Until then complaints and suggestions are also open on the 'medic medic!' board.
